  1. Open the lid by partially removing the label from the cassette.

  2. Place the biopsy specimen in the agar gel.
    (If necessary, use a sanitized needle to make a small cross cut in the agar beforehand.)

  3. Record the patient’s information on the sticker.

  4. A significant color change will be visible after 1–2 hours (depending on temperature) and will remain stable afterwards.

  5. In rare cases, the color change may take considerably longer. However, if H. pylori is present in the specimen, the color change will occur within 24 hours.
    Do not interpret the results only after 24 hours from the start of the test.
